Tips for Best Quality Recording.
- Record in a quiet space that does not have a lot of echo, background noise, or even white noise. Avoid spaces with office chatter, traffic, barking dogs, and air conditioners.
- When joining Zoom, a phone headset or EarPods will be sufficient. A “real” microphone is preferred, though not required. Avoid using a speaker.
- Have a glass of water nearby. You will be doing most of the talking.
- Avoid lengthy responses. Focus on getting straight to the point and provide supporting examples or a case study. The best episodes are no longer than 30 minutes long (remember: it is hard for anyone to listen to a single person speak for more than that).
- Engage in a conversation with your Host, rather than just jumping straight to answering the question. It should flow naturally. Use fillers such as “this is a great question and I provide an example from personal experience” etc.
